Pivot Farm

Welcome to our homestead! I hope you are inspired

About Me

Brandelyn picking sunflower

I met my husband, Joe, at Whole Foods17 years ago. Our journey took us from the NFL, where Joe played as a defensive end for the Seattle Seahawks, to the entrepreneurial world, launching businesses and building a community.

After years of running Lady 12, a successful women’s fan apparel brand, life took another turn in 2020, pushing us toward a new chapter—homesteading. On our 20-acre Pivot Farm, we now grow 80% of our food, raise goats for dairy, chickens, pigs, and turkeys for meat, and tend to thriving gardens, orchards, and an apiary.

Pivot Farm isn’t just our home—it’s a place for education and hands-on learning. I teach chicken and goat-keeping classes, horseback riding, and share our homestead journey through social media. Whether you’re dreaming of a homestead or just curious, I hope to inspire and guide you on your own path to self-sufficiency.

Sometimes you have to pivot.

Timing is everything. We began homeschooling in early 2019 and started really creating a more focused plan on how to use our property and lifestyle to become self sufficient. 2020 happened and we found ourselves in a situation where we unexpectedly were doing exactly what we were suppose to be doing. We then decided to drill deeper and got very good at growing our own food and taught ourselves how to be as sustainable as possible.

From Branded Apparel to…

Our apparel company was sold in over 400 locations across the PNW! Strange to think we pivoted from fashion to farming lol but I wouldn’t change a thing!

My Hope Is To Inspire

I started posting on my Instagram just regular everyday life on the farm. Small wins and losses. Teaching moments, what we learned, how we do things. I was feeling a sense of fulfillment finding roots I had never known existed, and it was so much fun sharing it with people! To my surprise, people seemed interested, and my following started to climb at an alarming rate. All of a sudden I found myself in a very interesting situation. I had 1 video with over 60+ Million views!!! It became clear to me that I had to find a way to start using my platform to teach others about this lifestyle shift, and help others achieve this sense of wellbeing and food security. in any way possible. My hope is to inspire. My hope is to nurture. My hope is to ignite that little spark of your inner homesteader, and help you find ways to keep it burning, because there has never been a better time to find it.
