All-Natural Grenadine

A sweet-tart syrup traditionally made from pomegranate juice and sugar.

Equipment

  • 1 Sauce pan
  • 1 Wisk
  • 1 Knife for lemon peel

Ingredients

  • 2 cups 100% Organic Pomegranate Juice
  • 2 cups Organic Sugar
  • 2 slice Lemon Peel About the size of a quarter

Instructions

  • Combine pomegranate juice and sugar in a medium saucepan.
  • Heat over medium, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves.
  • Bring to a slow boil, then reduce the heat and cover. Simmer for about 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add lemon peels.
  • Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Pour into a clean bottle or jar and refrigerate.
